a dawning of understanding,
of progress, of the beginning of of the one harmful
habit invisibly working its work like low, smoky mist.

With clarity, the scientist
wonders how these mysteries
were ever mysterious
and he dons his boots with
enthusiasm to trek into
the dark muddy places with
his lighted microscope -
victory on his mind.
